I vividly remember the moment I first picked up a camera and chose photography as my career. It was back in 1997, when I transferred from college in Hawaii to New York. I immediately realized the power of photography as an art form, its ability to capture moments and reveal details that the naked eye might miss. I was drawn to creating beautiful images with a dramatic, moody atmosphere, or ones filled with vibrant colors influenced by my favorite music genres: Metal, EDM, R&B, and Electro Gothic. Now, in 2025, my passion for photography hasn't faded, in fact, it's only grown stronger. I still get excited by the endless creative possibilities that come with working with different subjects, locations, themes, and clients.
My portfolio features work I've done for brands and clients such as Kérastase, Dr. Jart, Bobbi Brown, Bumble & Bumble, Valentino.com, Interview magazine, V magazine, Vogue Italia, and 6%DOKIDOKI, a Japanese Kawaii fashion store. It also includes collaborations with musicians like Electric Callboy, MIYAVI, HYDE, DIR EN GREY, JILUKA, Survive Said the Prophet, The Gazette, Starset, Tinashe, THE RAMPAGE, DEEP, and SCANDAL.
In the past, I had the privilege of assisting the renowned photography duo Inez and Vinoodh for 10 years. During that time, I worked on projects for clients such as MAC, Dior, Gucci, YSL, Louis Vuitton, and artists like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Björk, as well as for publications including Vogue US, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, and V Magazine.
Beyond developing technical photography skills, one of the most valuable parts of this experience was learning how to help create an uplifting, collaborative atmosphere on set—something I carry with me into every project.

ニューヨークを拠点に、ファッションとミュージシャンの撮影を中心に活動している、グアム生まれ・ハワイ育ちの40代フォトグラファーです。
10歳から21歳まではハワイ・オアフ島で過ごし、サーフィンを楽しみながら、V系メタル、テクノ、R&Bといった音楽に親しんで育ちました。その後、ファッションフォトグラフィーを学ぶためニューヨークへ移り、School of Visual Artを卒業しました。
卒業後の2002年から2012年までの10年間、Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadinのフォトアシスタントとして活動。Chanel、Dior、Gucci、YSL、Calvin Kleinなどのトップブランドの撮影に携わりながら、現場の作り方や、落ち着きつつも力強い撮影スタイルなど、フォトグラファーとしての貴重な経験と技術を学びました。
フォトグラファーとして大きな影響を受けたのは、好きな音楽から生まれる独自の世界観、David Lynch監督の映画、そしてNick Knightの写真作品です。常に新しい写真の見せ方や表現方法を模索し続けています。
独立後は、日本向けにHYDE、MIYAVI、JILUKA、The Last Rockstars、DIR EN GREY、The Gazette、THE RAMPAGE、SCANDAL、DEEP from EXILE TRIBEといったミュージシャンのライブ撮影や映像制作を手がけてきました。また、原宿系ファッションブランド「6%DOKIDOKI」のビジュアル撮影も担当しています。
アメリカ市場向けには、Kérastase、Dr. Jart+、Bobbi Brown、Bumble and bumble、Valentino Mens、Vogue Italia オンライン、Interview magazine、Nikeなど、数多くのプロジェクトに携わっています。
