I still remember the moment I picked up a camera and decided to make photography my career. It was back in 1997, when I transferred from college in Hawaii to New York. That’s when I really saw how powerful photography could be, not just capturing moments, but showing things we don’t always notice with our own eyes. I was instantly drawn to creating images with a moody, dramatic vibe or bold, vibrant colors, heavily influenced by the music I love: Metal, EDM, R&B, and Electro Gothic.
Now it’s 2025, and my love for photography is stronger than ever. Every day, I wake up excited to make something new, working with artists, musicians, activists, and creative teams who are all about spreading good energy and pushing boundaries through visual storytelling.
With over 15 years of experience, I’ve learned one thing for sure: the images that truly connect with people are the ones that bring joy to us, the creators. When we’re inspired and having fun, it shows. That energy comes through in the work and sticks with the audience. So let’s talk ideas, ones that excite us, entertain others, and create something memorable for everyone involved.
In the past, I had the privilege of assisting the renowned photography duo Inez and Vinoodh for 10 years. During that time, I worked on projects for clients such as MAC, Dior, Gucci, YSL, Louis Vuitton, and artists like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Björk, as well as for publications including Vogue US, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, and V Magazine.
Beyond developing technical photography skills, one of the most valuable parts of this experience was learning how to help create an uplifting, collaborative atmosphere on set, something I carry with me into every project.
